Mirko Srdić a.k.a. Elvis J. Kurtović started the band Elvis J. Kurtović & His Meteors in 1983.

He is best known for his hits Hajle Selasije, Oh kako ljubav boli, Folk reping, Kad se babo vrati kući pijan, Baščarši hanumen, and Dabogda crko Rock and Roll, which helped the band receive cult status in Bosnia & Herzegovina and Yugoslavia.
